TV actor Dolly Sohi lost her battle with cervical cancer and died on March 8. It happened just a few hours after her sister, actor Amandeep Sohi, died due to jaundice.
Actor Dolly Sohi passed away earlier this morning, March 8, after a battle with cervical cancer. Her sister Amandeep Sohi, also an actor, had died on Thursday, March 7, after being diagnosed with jaundice. She was keeping unwell for a month.
Her brother, Mannu Sohi, confirmed the news with India Today and shared that the family is devastated losing the sisters in a matter of few hours. He also shared that Dolly’s funeral will be held in the afternoon.
Her family also issued a statement informing about the actor’s death that read, “Our beloved Dolly has left for her heavenly abode today early morning. We are in a state of shock with the loss. The final rites shall be conducted today afternoon. Will share further details.”
Dolly had shared a photo last year after a chemotherapy session. It read, “THANK U EVERYONE FOR SENDING YOUR LOVE AND PRAYERS Life has been a Roller Coaster lately, But if u have the strength to fight with it then ur journey becomes easier. It’s up to u what do u choose to be A Victim Of Journey (CANCER) Or A Survivor Of Journey (sic).”
Dolly has been a part of shows like ‘Jhanak’, ‘Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi’ and ‘Khoob Ladi Mardaani…Jhansi Ki Rani’. She is survived by her teenage daughter.
