A flight from Jeddah to Hyderabad, IndiGo 6E 68, made an emergency landing in Pakistan.

IndiGo reported on Thursday that an international aircraft from Hyderabad to Karachi, Pakistan, was forced to make an emergency landing due to a medical emergency involving a passenger.

The traveler was pronounced dead upon arrival after failing to survive.

On Wednesday, the incident was reported.

On board IndiGo flight 6E 68, which was traveling from Jeddah to Hyderabad, there was a medical emergency. The passenger was treated by a doctor upon arrival in Karachi, where the captain had redirected the flight, according to a statement from the airline.

“Unfortunately, the passenger did not survive and was declared dead on arrival,” added the statement.

“The flight departed from Karachi after completing formalities and landed in Hyderabad at 0908 IST,” the airline stated.

A medical issue on board an Indigo flight from Mumbai to Ranchi resulted in the airplane being diverted to Nagpur in a similar scenario that was reported in August of this year.

After being unloaded, the passenger was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased.
