Raipur Superintendent of Police Mr. Santosh Singh has given necessary instructions to all the police gazetted officers and station house officers of Raipur Police under the anti-drug campaign to detect and take action against the black marketers of drugs and curb it in charge. On which all the police gazetted officers, a team of police station in-charges are patrolling and collecting information about the drug dealers.
In the same context, on 10.02.2024, the Tikarapara Police received information that a person had kept ganja in a slaty coloured bag near Bhathagaon New Bus Stand Gate No. 03 under Tikarapara Police Station and was trying to sell it. On receiving the news of the incident, ASP Dinesh Kumar, CO Arun Kumar, Tehsildar Radhey Shyam Sharma, and Station Inspector Satyendra Kumar reached the village with police and PAC.
On the direction of senior officers, a team of Tikrapara police station went to the spot and identified the person identified by the informer and arrested him. During interrogation, the man revealed his name as Ritik Banjara, father of Manoj Banjara, aged 20 years, of Sakin Kashiram Colony Badaut Baghpat Police Station, Badit District Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh.
On searching the slaty coloured bag kept with him by the team members, it was found that ganja was kept in the bag. On which the team members arrested the accused and seized 12.942 kg of ganja worth about Rs 1,30,000 / – from his possession and action is being taken against the accused under the Narcotics Act at Police Station Tikrapara.
