New Delhi : The ministry of home affairs has notified the Citizenship Amendment Act’s (CAA) rules today, paving the way for the law’s implementation across the country. The law makes it easier for Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, Christian and Parsi refugees from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan, to get Indian citizenship.

Today, the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) guidelines were issued by the ministry of home affairs, opening the door for the law’s nationwide implementation. The law facilitates the process of obtaining Indian citizenship for refugees who are Sikh, Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, Christian, and Parsi, and who are from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
