Raipur, 10 February 2024. In the budget of the government of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai for the financial year 2024-25, a provision of Rs 3,400 crore has been made under the Chief Minister Food Assistance Scheme. The State Government has decided to provide free foodgrains to the eligible beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Anganwadi Suraksha Yojana for the next five years.
Food and Civil Supplies Minister Dayaldas Baghel said that a provision of Rs 209 crore has been made for the distribution of fortified rice to save women and children from malnutrition.
Similarly, a provision of Rs 150 crore has been made for distribution of sugar, Rs 81 crore for distribution of jaggery, Rs 400 crore for distribution of gram under Antyodaya Anna Yojana, Rs 139 crore for distribution of iodised salt at subsidised rate. Similarly, Rs. 20 crore has been provided under the Consumer Welfare Contribution Fund Scheme.
