In the meantime, to encourage animal husbandry, the Rajasthani government is launching the Mukhyamantri Mangala Pashu Bima Yojana. Farmers who participate in this program will receive financial support from the government.
According to Rajasthan’s Minister of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Zoraram Kumawat, the state government is dedicated to helping cattle rearers become financially independent. The Chief Minister Animal Husbandry Development Fund would be established in the state with an allocation of Rs 250 crore, according to the Minister of Animal Husbandry. The Mukhyamantri Mangala Pashu Bima Yojana will begin with the inclusion of non-milch animals. The term “stray” will be replaced with “destitute” for cow progeny.
Additionally, Minister Zoraram Kumawat said that the Sex Sorted Semen Scheme’s award amount will rise to 75%. There will be new positions established for 125 doctors and 525 livestock helpers in order to accommodate the state’s growing veterinary institutions. 500 gram panchayats will host the opening of new veterinary sub-centers. Additionally, 50 veterinary hospitals will be upgraded to first-class hospitals, 25 first-class veterinary hospitals to polyclinics, and 100 veterinary sub-centres to veterinary hospitals.

Speaking on the department’s hiring process, Minister Zoramthanga Kumawat stated that the Supreme Court resolved the 900 veterinary doctors who were first hired by the previous administration in a lawful manner. The appointment will now be made through a legally-mandated disposition of the High Court. Following this, a fresh hiring procedure for 619 physician positions will begin. He said that in January 2024, the hiring procedure for 5934 positions as animal attendants began. Kumawat stated that the support provided to camel keepers has risen from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000 under the Camel Conservation Scheme, which was started by our previous government to encourage camels in the state. By introducing the Gopal Credit Card plan in the budget, about 5 lakh Gopalak families will receive an interest-free loan of Rs 1 lakh in the first phase.
