A newborn boy was born to Sidhu Moosewala’s parents in May 2022, almost two years after the singer was assassinated. Balkaur Singh, the newborn’s father, posted the infant’s first photo to Instagram.

Singh captioned a photo of himself holding the child in his arms in Punjabi. “The Almighty has placed Shubh’s younger brother in our midst with the blessings of millions of people who love Shubdeep. The caption, which was only partially translated into English, said, “With Waheguru’s blessings, the family is healthy and grateful to all the well-wishers for their immense love.”

The late Punjabi singer’s family confirmed his mother, Charan Kaur’s pregnancy in February. According to a Tribune report, his mother is 58 and Balkaur Singh is 60. The couple used IVF to get pregnant, the publication reported.

Meanwhile, days after the news of Kaur’s pregnancy, Balkaur Singh had shared a cryptic post on Facebook. He neither confirmed nor denied his wife’s pregnancy and asked the late singer’s fans to not believe rumours about his family.

Sidhu Moosewala, whose real name is Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, was shot dead by assailants on May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke village of Mansa district in Punjab. At least three weapons were used and thirty empty cases were found at the site of the 28-year-old’s death. According to the autopsy report, Moosewala probably died “within 15 minutes” of receiving the injury. His death came a day after his security cover was pruned by the government. He was an only child of his parents.

Moosewala is known for his Punjabi songs such as “295”, “So High”, “Same Beef” and “Love Sick”, among others. He was one of the wealthiest Punjabi singers and was regarded as the best in the business.
