The Kimberley area in north-west Washington, through the nation’s midsection, and west of Victoria, will be the epicentre of the rainy weather. From far north Queensland to southern Queensland, including Brisbane, there will be a second rainband.

There are now severe weather warnings in effect for Victoria, the ACT, Tasmania, Western Australia, and New South Wales.

Sydney’s string of warm days from earlier in the week will come to an end on Friday, when there is a high probability of showers and a for coastal locations.

On Friday and Saturday, Melbourne will receive a tonne of rain, but on Sunday, the sky will clear, giving residents some relief.

Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, will, nevertheless, see rainy weather on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with a predicted 5 to 20 millimetres of precipitation.

Up to 20 millimetres of rain are predicted for Canberra on Friday, according to current forecasts. With further rain predicted for Sunday, the city is expected to clear on Saturday.

Additionally, Adelaide is expected to get wet weather on Friday before it clears up a little on Saturday and Sunday is predicted by the Bureau of Meteorology to be “sunny” with “light winds.”according to the BoM.

There will be some rain in Hobart on Friday, but it should clear up for the weekend.

Perth is likely to get significant rainfall from Friday through Sunday, with Sunday seeing the highest totals of 15 to 45 millimetres.

Meanwhile, Darwin is expected to see dry weather over the weekend, with highs of 34C.
